Our Story
I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at 21 and IBS a couple years later.
What followed over the past decade was relentless trial and error—traveling across the country to see world-renowned doctors, undergoing infusions, chemo, and surviving six months on a strict medical liquid diet. I lost over 35 pounds and was hospitalized several times.
Finding food was a daily struggle. Most snacks, especially protein bars, were loaded with ingredients that triggered my inflammation: seed oils, sugar alcohols, artificial ingredients, gluten, or nuts. I couldn't find a single option that worked.
For years, my sister kept saying, "If there's nothing out there you can eat, make something yourself." Last year, we finally did exactly that.
With guidance from my doctors and dietitians, we created dasso good. A bar built out of personal need, now made for anyone tired of second guessing every snack.
